My time at Calvary Christian Church as an intern was more than appreciated; for me, it was integral to my growth in leadership and ministry. Not only did we get to visit homebound people, and see how funerals and weddings were done, but we got to spend time with pastors and leaders that set a standard for how godly people lead godly lives for the sake of Christ and prioritized serving the people of God over themselves. Working as a pastor now in Texas, my time in Calvary prepared me for public speaking, administrative duties, as well as practicing faithful servant-hearted ministry and discipleship for the glory of God. I would do it ten times over again for the valuable experience I picked up.
